Presentation Title: ULK/Atg1 and its Interacting Partners in the Regulation of RNP Granule Dynamics: Relevance to Disease
Speaker: Mondira Kundu, MD, PhD
Dr. Mondira Kundu, MD, PhD is a Full Member at St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in the Departments of Cell and Molecular Biology and Pathology. Her research focuses on the molecular mechanisms of autophagy and mitochondrial regulation, particularly the role of ULK1/2 kinases in cellular homeostasis and disease. Dr. Kundu has made groundbreaking discoveries in understanding the functions of autophagy, with applications to neurodegenerative diseases and cancer. She has received numerous awards, including the Burroughs Wellcome Fund Career Award and serves as co-chair for the 2024 Gordon Research Conference on Protein Secretion.
