Simplifying the Science: Cure VCP Disease's AI Podcast Translates Research for Everyone

2024 marked a transformative year for artificial intelligence, and its momentum shows no signs of slowing as we enter 2025.


While perspectives on AI vary widely across the world, one reality is undeniable: AI's influence on healthcare and research is reshaping the approach towards rare disease treatment and understanding.


At Cure VCP Disease, we're particularly excited about AI's potential to accelerate rare disease research and improve patient outcomes. Our mission has always been to stay at the forefront of innovations that can benefit our community, which is why we're thrilled to share a tool we've recently discovered.



We've been exploring Google's Notebook LM, an innovative AI platform that's revolutionizing how we can make complex medical research more accessible to patients and families. To test its capabilities, we used our VCP Standard of Care publication as source material, and the results were remarkable. The platform transformed this technical publication into an engaging audio podcast, maintaining complete fidelity to the original content while making it more digestible for the layperson.


Understanding that different people prefer different formats, we've taken this a step further by enhancing the audio with AI-generated visuals to create an educational video. However, what truly matters isn't the technology behind it – it's how this tool helps our community better understand VCP disease and its management. We are also exploring ways to translate this material into other languages.
